Whale

This beautiful creature washed up on one of our local marks recently, such a pity to see such a wonderful example of natures design dying in such a way. On closer inspection the swim bladder was protruding from the whales mouth which may suggest it had been dragged from the deep where it was most likely hunting squid. The whale sanctuary where called but unfortunately this one was beyond rescue. The pictures where kindly forwarded to me by close friend and fishing fanatic pat. It just goes to show what a diverse enviorment our seas are and another pointer as to why we so badly need to care for them. If things progress as they are this resource will not be there for our children and grandchildren. Food for thought.

Pat - great blog :) I read it regularly. But whales don't have swim bladders ... they are mammals.
